Is The Shoot Of Raees Song On Hold Because Of Shah Rukh?
Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees has been grappling with delays and it turns out that the star himself, not his Pakistani co-star Mahira Khan, is the reason behind it
Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees is the talk of town, be it for the controversial casting of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan or for its delayed release dates.
The pending scenes include a song and some patch work shots featuring Shah Rukh. However, speculation is rife that the shooting is on hold because the makers aren’t sure whether to retain Mahira Khan in the movie, thanks to the latest Indo-Pak hostilities and public sentiment against the inclusion of Pakistani actors in Bollywood films.
However, sources tell us that is not the case. The reason behind the film’s delay is in fact Shah Rukh Khan himself. Shah Rukh Khan is apparently expected to buff up in the coming days, exclusively for the song. A source told SpotboyE.com, “Shah Rukh has been asked to get his body right for the song, which is why the movie is yet unfinished.”
However, there is no doubt that Mahira is very much a part of the movie and the makers are only enjoying the free publicity that is coming with all the speculation, added the source.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees is an action thriller film about a shrewd bootlegger in Gujarat. The movie will release alongside Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil in January 2017.
