It's Official: Vaani Kapoor Will Romance Ranbir Kapoor In YRF’s Shamshera

Ranbir Kapoor's Shamshera is one of the most surprising announcements we heard this month, but the excitement even got bigger when we heard that Sanjay Dutt would be playing the antagonist and would battle it out with RK in the film.

But wait till you hear who the leading lady in the movie is. It's none other than Vaani Kapoor! The leggy lass is all set to sizzle and steal your hearts as she romances Ranbir Kapoor in the movie.

For those of you who don't know, a couple of actresses were being considered for the film, but looks like director Karan Malhotra and producer Aditya Chopra have decided to go ahead with Vaani Kapoor.

Yash Raj Films confirmed this piece of information when they tweeted, ".@Vaaniofficial is all set to sizzle like never before in our upcoming action adventure #Shamshera along with #RanbirKapoor & @duttsanjay @ShamsheraMovie | @karanmalhotra21."

This will be the first time Vaani Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor will be paired opposite each other and we are quite excited about this jodi. Let’s see how they set the silver screen on fire with a crackling chemistry.

Talking about the film, Shamshera is a high octane adventure film that is set in the heartland of India. The film is expected to go on the floors by the end of the year and should wrap up by mid 2019.

Directed by Karan Malhotra, the film will see Ranbir Kapoor as a dacoit and he seems quite excited about it. In a press note, the actor had mentioned, "Shamshera is exactly the film I was looking for. While growing up watching Hindi commercial cinema, I had an image of what a film hero should be doing. Shamshera allows me to do everything that I had imagined and it's a very exciting project for me."
