Jackie Shroff Reveals Salman Khan 'Handled His Clothes And Boots' When He Was An AD: ‘I Used To Show His Photos To Producers I Was Working With’
Jackie Shroff and Salman Khan have known each other for many years, and have also worked together professionally. Jackie Shroff was recently seen in Salman Khan starrer Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, which also stars Disha Patani and Randeep Hooda. Jackie Shroff has known Salman Khan from the time that he was an assistant director. In a recent interview, he revealed that when Salman Khan worked as an assistant director on Falak, he handled Jackie’s clothes and shoes.

While speaking to ETimes, Jackie Shroff said, “I have known him as a model and then as an assistant director, who handled my clothes and boots when I was shooting for Falak (1988). He used to look up to me and is like my little brother.” He further added that when Salman worked as an assistant director, Jackie Shroff would show his photographs to the producers that he would work with. He revealed that it was KC Bokadia’s brother-in-law who gave him a break in Bollywood.

“It was Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) that catapulted him to stardom, but I feel that I was instrumental in him getting a break in the industry. Toh aise dosti shuru hui… well, dosti itni nahi hai ki we are very close, but he keeps coming up with films, aur jab bhi kuch bada aata hai toh he thinks of me first,” said Jackie Shroff.

Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai released on May 13. A day before its release, Salman Khan had urged people to enjoy his film on the platforms that it will release in, and to not encourage piracy. Despite this, Radhe leaked online within hours of its release, and Salman Khan expressed his disappointment.  "We offered you to watch our film Radhe at a reasonable price of INR 249 per view. Inspite of that Pirated sites are streaming Radhe illegally which is a serious crime. Cyber Cell is taking action against all these illegal pirated sites. Please don't participate in piracy or the Cyber Cell will take action against you as well. Please understand you will get into a lot of trouble with the Cyber Cell,” he wrote.
