Jacqueline Fernandez Allowed To Travel To Dubai By Delhi Court Amid Sukesh Chandrasekhar Money Laundering Case- REPORT
Patiala House Court granted Jacqueline Fernandez the permission to travel abroad for work purposes
Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been making the headlines for her past connection with conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. It was earlier reported that the actress, who is currently being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the infamous money laundering case of Rs 200 crore, had filed an application to the Patiala House Court to let her travel abroad for work.
According India.com, she has been granted the permission to to travel to Dubai for her professional commitments. As reported by the media publication, Jacqueline’s advocate Prashant Patil argued about the matter in the Delhi court. While the ED opposed the application by stating that the probe is currently at a very sensitive stage, the court has asked her to submit a fixed deposit of Rs 1 Crore along with the travel application. She is expected to report to the court after she returns from Dubai. Patil during an interaction with ETimes shared details about the proceeding. He said, “We submitted before the court that Jacqueline has been appearing before the court regularly, she has never skipped a single date, in fact the records of the proceedings show that the ED have not submitted crucial evidence about a said matter to Jacqueline Fernandez. We have never caused any delay in the argument of the charge. As of now the travel is due to the professional commitments of the actress, it is not a private trip. It is important her to travel.”
She will be travelling Dubai between January 27th to 30th, 2023.
For the unversed, she has been appearing before the ED for quite some time for her alleged involvement with Chandrashekhar in an infamous money laundering case of Rs 200 crore. While she has been seeking the court to discharge her from all the charges as she is clueless about his fraud, her fans are also awaiting a response on the matter. In its charge sheet, the ED had mentioned that, “During the investigation, statements of Jacqueline Fernandez were recorded on August 30, 2021, and October 20, 2021, Jacqueline Fernandez stated she received gifts viz three designer bags from Gucci, Chanel, and two Gucci outfits for gym wear. A pair of Louis Vuitton shoes, two pairs of diamond earrings and a bracelet of multi-coloured stones, two Hermes bracelets. She also received a Mini Cooper which she returned.”
On the work front, after delivering hits like Housefull 2, Race 2, Kick and many others, the Sri Lankan beauty was last seen in Cirkus, Ram Setu, Bachchhan Paandey and Attack in the past year. After having a dull year, the actress is currently working on her next project Crakk starring Vidyut Jammwal and Arjun Rampal.
