Janhvi Kapoor Recalls Mother Sridevi Hiding Behind A Tree To Watch Her Give Her FIRST Shot; Actress Says, ‘Was Very Nervous About Her Opinion’
Janhvi Kapoor opened up about how her late mother, actress Sridevi had to hide behind a tree to watched her during her first shot as she was very nervous
Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has been climbing the ladder of success every day. Having made a name for herself with her fashion statements, down-to-earth personality and versatile performances, she often rules the headlines. While she has been making waves in the entertainment industry, the actress never shies away from sharing her personal life anecdotes including memories with her late mother, actress Sridevi. During a recent interaction she recalled how her mother watched her first shot secretly.
In an interview with Galatta Plus, Janhvi went down the memory lane and opened up about shooting for her debut film Dhadak, which was released in 2018. She expressed how she was very nervous, not only for shooting but also for her mother’s opinion. She went on to explain how Sridevi hid behind a tree with fashion designer Manish Malhotra to watch her work. She added, “She was there for my first shot. I think I was the most nervous about her being around so she hid behind a tree with Manish (Malhotra) to see my first shot. She told me she wasn’t there but I found out later that she was. It was recently when she found out about it through one of her mother’s friends. The 26-year-old shared that he even came to know about her mother’s reaction, which left her emotional. She recalled getting a call from Sridevi’s friend and being told how her mother was ecstatic about her giving her first shot. She shared, her mother heaped praises on her and said, “She has it in her, she has it in her to do really, really well. On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor was last seen in Bawaal alongside Varun Dhawan. She has Mr. & Mrs. Mahi co-starring Rajkummar Rao in her pipeline. Apart from that she recently announced her Telugu debut in NTR 30 alongside Jr NTR.
