Janhvi Kapoor To Get A Whopping Amount For Vijay Deverakonda's Fighter; This Christmas Is Indeed Merry
It was just yesterday when reports of Janhvi Kapoor’s South debut started hitting the headlines. SpotboyE reported that the film, tentatively titled ‘Fighter’ and will be a PAN release, is helmed by South director Puri Jagannadh. Its Hindi version will be backed by Karan Johar and it was being said that KJo has suggested Janhvi’s name to the director. We also got excited to know that Janhvi will be making her South debut opposite Arjun Reddy star Vijay Deverakonda. But do you know how much Janhvi is getting paid for Fighter?

While the makers are yet to make an official announcement, it is being reported that the Dhadak actress has been offered a whopping amount for the project. If latest reports are anything to go by the actress will be paid Rs 3.5 crore as remuneration to feature in the film. Surprising, but true! (ALSO READ: Janhvi Kapoor Performs Ganga Aarti In Varanasi With Friends, The Pictures Are A Visual Treat)
Spilling the beans about the development, a source told Deccan Chronicle, “Even actresses such as Alia Bhatt and Ananya Pandey were approached for the part, but things did not materialise. However, Karan Johar was instrumental in getting Janhvi Kapoor on board. The actress is still working her date diary, and in all probability, she might commence shooting in February.”

Like we informed you yesterday, Fighter will also mark Janhvi Kapoor’s dad and filmmaker Boney Kapoor's Telugu debut as a producer and Vijay Devarakonda's Bollywood debut.

Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor is currently gearing up for her March 2020 release Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and is also currently filming Karan’s Dostana 2, which co-stars Kartik Aaryan and newbie Lakshya.
