But it was a different story altogether after one saw the trailer. Deepika can be seen barely in two-bit sequences in the 1 minute 24 second trailer. The first feeling is that the actress has a role that hardly justifies her current standing.

This comes as a shock for all those who thought Deepika will make a dashing entry in Hollywood with this action flick. The actress didn’t shoot for any Bollywood project this year, dedicating the last 6 months solely to xXx. From posting videos of her special workout to giving glimpses of her bonding with co-star Ruby Rose, Deepika continued to build much hype and interest around the film.

After Priyanka Chopra became an overnight sensation in Hollywood with Quantico and Baywatch, the stage was set for Deepika to make a similar impact. But Dippy seems to have not even come close to her contemporary – so far.

SpotboyE.com spoke to the aam janta, to find out what they felt about xXx trailer. Not surprisingly, the viewers drew comparisons between her and PeeCee.
Binoy Mandal a business man and an ardent Deepika fan, says, “I think Deepika will go a long way as an action chick and looks promising. But having said that, Priyanka might have a better role than her in Baywatch. I hope they release another trailer with just her and Vin Diesel in it.”
Wilson Pereira, a social media influencer and content head at an e-commerce site, says, “We don’t see much of Deepika in the trailer. I hope it’s not going to be a Bollywood actor’s glorified 30-second role. Priyanka, on the other hand, will most definitely have a sizeable role in Baywatch.”
College student Shakti Sinha is grossly disappointed. “Not a single line she utters in the trailer? That’s left me baffled. We have been reading and hearing about her big debut ever since she took up the project and had more expectations, especially after Priyanka’s Quantico. I thought Dippy too will have meatier role in the XXX franchise and I was shocked to see 2-second clips of her.”
Manan Gosar says, “I know Deepika can hardly be seen in the trailer but I think she will shine even in a small role. Having said that, I got to admit that Priyanka will definitely have a meatier role.”
Social media too went into an overdrive, expressing their disappointment on Deepika’s presence (or the lack of it) in the trailer.
