Jaya Bachchan has lashed out at the actors of The Big Bang Theory for comparing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit
Veteran actor and Member of the Parliament Jaya Bachchan has made a name for herself with her blunt statements. She never shies away from expressing her views on the ongoing topics of discussion. She has now commented on the ongoing The Big Bang Theory controversy, where Sheldon Cooper, played by Jim Parsons, and Raj Koothrappali, played by Kunal Nayyar are seen comparing actresses Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
In a media interaction with The Times Of India, the veteran actress has now lashed out at the British actor. She proceeded to call him insane, criticized his language and expressed that he should be sent to a mental institution. Quoted by News18, she said, “Is this man (Kunal Nayyar) insane? Badi gandi zubaan hai. He needs to be sent to a mental asylum. His family should be asked what they think of his comment.” ALSO READ: WHAT! The controversy came to light when political analyst Mithun Vijay Kumar filed a complaint against Netflix, claiming that the streaming platform “used a derogatory remark against Madhuri in the first episode of The Big Bang Theory's second season.” In the episode, Sheldon is seen stating that Aishwarya is poor man’s Madhuri, to which Raj says, “Aishwarya Rai is a goddess, by comparison, Madhuri Dixit is a leprous prostitute.” ALSO READ: Jaya Bachchan reacts to Bollywood vs south debate in the Parliament after leaders credited ‘south India' for the Naatu Naatu Oscar win!
Actress Urmila Matondkar too reacted to the entire controversy. She said, “What?! I have no idea about the whole episode, so I shouldn’t be commenting. But if it is true, it is beyond outrageous. It shows their extremely cheap mentality. Do they really think this is humorous?”
On the work front, Jaya Bachchan will be returning to acting with Karan Johar’s movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani. The movie stars Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
