Ashneer Grover Takes A Sly Dig At YRF? Gets Candid About Film Industry And How It’s Getting Difficult To Fill Theaters!
Lately, Bollywood has been involved with nothing but disaster management and the current conditions seem to have impacted the patrons' creativity as well. It’s certainly a do-or-die situation for the content creators and while the world has keenly observed each and every move, the unapologetic Entrepreneur Ashneer Grover has turned unfiltered about the film industry and its current condition. He also reasoned why he doesn’t wish to return to TV and in what state is the film industry running.

Ashneer Grover shot to fame with the TV reality show Shark Tank India season 1, and the former co-founder of BharatPe, Ashneer has now launched his new brand named ‘The Third Unicorn’. However, Ashneer wasn’t a part of Shark Tank India season 2, and he is managing to remain in the headlines with his controversial statements. The businessman was recently seen turning candid at the Institute of Management Technology in Ghaziabad and said, “In today’s time, you have an opportunity to create a personal brand. Pehle kya tha, Yash Raj ji ke paas camera hai, Yash Raj ji ne casting karni hai. Jo unke camera ke saamne aagaya, woh hero hai. Ab bhaisaab sabke paas camera hai, toh kaahe ka Yash Raj?”

Speaking about the theatres’ current situation, Ashneer shared, “Kisi ko theatre jaana hi nahi hai. Theatre bharna mushkil ho raha hai. Sab bol rahe hain ke bhai main ghar baitha hoon, office baitha hoon, gaadi mein baitha hoon, jab mera mann karega mereko entertainment chahiye hai. We are at that cusp point. There is an opportunity for everybody, cutting across segments, to become public and to become famous. Aapko woh opportunity as a brand use karni hai.”

During the event, a student even compared Ashneer Grover to Ankur Warikoo in reference to how entrepreneurs are turning into influencers these days.

As per the latest IndiaTimes report, Ashneer appeared missed by the remark and promptly said, “I’ve never heard a more offensive statement. I’m so offended, I want to get up and leave. You don’t take his and my name in the same sentence. I have just one rule, you can say whatever you want to me. You can abuse my mother and sister, I won’t say a thing. But don’t compare me to Ankur Warikoo.”

There’s no denying, Yash Raj has seen a rough patch with almost every other production during the pandemic, but YRF managed to pick it up largely. ALSO READ | Ashneer Grover Roasts Media Publications For Using Picture Of His ‘Older Fatter Self’; Netizens Say, ‘Seedhi Baat No Bakwaas’

This year, it turned the tables by distributing Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Ranbir-Shraddha’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar which earned some great numbers. YRF also has this year’s most anticipated film Tiger 3 to release in December.
