Jersey: Shahid Kapoor Is Neck Deep In Preparations To Play A Cricketer, We Have Picture Proof
Shahid Kapoor is in his golden phase. His last film, Kabir Singh, became a blockbuster hit. The film which was a remake of a South Indian film named Arjun Reddy became Shahid Kapoor's highest-grossing film ever as a solo lead. Now, it seems, Shahid is following the same mantra as he will be seen in a film called Jersey, a remake of another South Indian film. Shahid Kapoor will be seen as a cricketer this time and he has already started prepping for it.

A few pictures of him prepping and polishing his cricketing skills have gone viral on social media. Dressed in a black jersey and pants, Shahid, in pictures can be seen holding a bat and has his safety gear on. Considering the efforts Shahid puts in to excel in every given role, we aren't quite surprised to see him putting in so much effort to be the best at the role of a cricketer. In the original film, South superstar Nani had essayed the lead role. Shahid is stepping into his shoes. The story is about a man who is a failed cricketer, however, in his thirties, he tries to revive his career in order to fulfill his son's wish. While Shahid created magic as Kabir Singh, we are expecting the same kind of outcome from Jersey. It is being directed by Gowtam Tinnanur who directed the original film.
