Jersey: Shahid Kapoor's Chandigarh Shoot Deferred Due To Farmers' Protest; Team Moves To Dehradun
Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur were shooting Jersey in Chandigarh, however, the shoot is now deferred owing to the ongoing farmers' protest. Considering the current scenario, the team has now headed to Dehradun
The shooting of Jersey has once again come to a halt. Earlier, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most of the shoot came to a standstill. After the tension and stress eased, the entertainment industry resumed their shooting. However, the latest update that we came across is that actors Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur starrer is once again got deferred and this time owing to the ongoing farmers' protest that is being observed in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. Plus, today, even Bharat bandh is being declared in the country. Considering the current scenario as the farmers' protest is at its peak, director Gowtam Tinnanuri and the makers felt it would be difficult to pull off the remaining shoot.
Hence, the team quickly changed their plan and headed to Dehradun last week to complete the planned schedule. Reportedly, a few portions are yet to shoot in Chandigarh. After the tension gets a little relaxed, the team will return to Chandigarh to complete the last leg of the schedule. "Shahid, Mrunal Thakur and the cast will film certain portions in the Uttarakhand capital over the next few days and will return to Chandigarh in the last leg of the schedule. They have about three days' work left in the city," reveals a source to Mid-Day.
Well, even though the film's shooting is not going according to the plan, they are ensuring to complete it as soon as possible.

Talking about Jersey, the drama is an official adaptation of the 2019 Telugu hit film of the same name, starring South superstar Nani. The film will see Kapoor play a retired cricketer who strives to make a comeback while Thakur plays a vital role. The release date of Jersey is not yet announced.
