Jiah Khan’s Mother Rabia To Be Cross Examined In Court After She Accused Sooraj Pancholi Of ABUSING Her Daughter Before She Committed Suicide-Report
As per the latest update on Jiah Khan’s suicide case, her mother Rabia Khan will be cross examined in court
Jiah Khan’s mother Rabia Khan recently appeared before a special court in Mumbai and recorded her testimony in connection to a case against Sooraj Pancholi. Rabia in court alleged that Sooraj had physically and verbally abused her daughter months before she committed suicide in June 2013. Now as per the latest update on this, Rabia Khan will be cross-examined in court in the Jiah Khan case on Monday.
An Etimes TV report mentioned that Sooraj Pancholi's lawyer Prashant Patil has said that whether allegations put by Rabia are true or false, is subject to cross-examination which is a right of every accused. Patil was quoted saying, “The complainant has made allegations in her chief examination on oath before the Honourable Court. Whether these allegations are true or false, is subject to cross-examination which is a right of every accused.” He added that it would be unfair to jump to conclusions and tarnish the image of Sooraj Pancholi without awaiting the outcome of the trial.

In her testimony, Rabia Khan revealed that Sooraj, son of Aditya Pancholi had approached Jiah on social media and asked her to meet him. At first, she was ‘apprehensive and reluctant to meet the actor but she later agreed. The two met for the first time in September 2012. “At that time she sent some pictures… to me it looked like they clicked and had mutual interest… However, in September she (Jiah) told me they were just friends,” Khan told the court.
On February 14, 2013, Jiah suddenly went to London and she looked very sad. Rabia said in the court that Jiah told her that Sooraj "abused her verbally and physically and also called her dirty names.”
For the unversed, Jiah Khan was found dead at her Mumbai home in June 2013. CBI had found a three-page suicide note where the actress had talked about suffering at the hands of her then-boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi, who was booked for abetment of suicide after Jiah’s shocking death.
