John Abraham Hands Over His Social Media Accounts To NGOs In An Attempt To Help Connect People With Resources Amid COVID-19 Crisis
India has been hit the second wave of Coronavirus. With the surge in COVID-19 cases across the country, people on social media have been sharing and amplifying SOS calls of patients in need of COVID drugs, hospital beds, among other resources. It is a tough and challenging time, during which, a few Bollywood celebrities have been using their platform to reach a wide audience and help in any way they can. John Abraham has handed over his social media accounts to NGOs across India amid COVID-19 crisis to help connect those affected with the resources they require.

John Abraham took to his Instagram account to share this with fans. He posted a note that read, “As a country we are experiencing a very grim situation. With each passing minute, there are more and more people who are unable to procure oxygen, an ICU bed, a vaccine and sometimes even food. However, these trying times have also brought people together, to support, to make a difference and attend to needs.”

He further added that from today, he will be handing over his social media accounts to NGOs that they have partnered with across the country, and the content posted from now on, on his social media handles, will be to help connect all those affected with the resources that they are in need of.


“It is time to extend ourselves to humanity and take measures to overcome this crisis. Anything and everything to save lives and win this battle together,” he wrote. John Abraham has 8.8 million followers on Instagram, and over 3.2 million followers on Twitter.
