John Abraham Reveals Real Reason He Does Not Like To Release His Movies On OTT: ‘I Would Not Like To Be Available For ₹299 or 499’
John Abraham is a big name in the industry and he is known for his power-packed action performance. The actor shot to fame with the movie Dhoom, which made everyone go crazy for bikes. Currently, he is promoting Ek Villain Returns along with Arjun Kapoor, Tara Sutaria, and Disha Patani. The action-thriller is produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.

In an interview with ETimes, No Smoking actor said that he loved the OTT space but only as a producer and not as an actor. 

When asked about why he would like to release his movies on the big screen only. He said, “I am a big-screen hero and that is where I want to be seen. At this point, I will do films that cater to the big screen. I would find it offensive if someone shut off my film midway on a tablet because they needed to rush to the washroom. Also, I would not like to be available for ₹299 or 499. I have a problem with it.” 



His last release ‘Attack’ was released on OTT in May but almost after two months, the same movie was released in cinema hall as well.

The Welcome Back actor is a producer as well. Under his production company John Abraham Entertainment he produced two movies Vicky Donor in 2012 directed by Shoojit Sircar, and Madras Café in 2013, in which he also acted.




Ek Villain Returns is set to release on July 29, 22 earlier it was to release on July 8, 22 directed by Mohit Suri, who directed Ek Villain in 2014.
