SptboyE had informed you about the makers of Neerja requesting the government for a tax-free status (Neerja makers seek tax-free status, Feb 22 ). The film’s lead actress, Sonam Kapoor, announced a few minutes back that they have finally received it.

Quite a feat!
Neerja, a biopic on the life of braveheart Neerja Bhanot, has been getting praise from all corners of the world. The film showcases how the 23-year old flight attendant sacrificed her life while saving 359 passengers onboard the hijacked Pan Am 73 flight on September 5, 1986.
