Kabir Singh: Shahid Kapoor Left Blushing By A Bunch Of Neighbourhood Aunties Who Loved His Blockbuster

Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh is raking in big numbers at the box-office. It has also shattered a few records and is on its way to registering a rather glorious innings for its producers. Meanwhile, the film has had its share of controversies to deal with.
To begin with, it’s plot. A section of the audience and Bollywood raised an objection to Shahid’s character’s misogynistic undertones - an accusation and claim that Shahid went on to defend. The film’s director Sandeep Vanga also made it to the headlines for his much-publicised interview where he claimed that when in love, slapping each other, was perfectly normal.

The film has also received tremendous love from the audiences. Its box-office figures explain the same. And now, in a recent interview, Shahid Kapoor revealed how his neighbourhood aunties nearly left him blushing while congratulating him on the movie.
Shahid reveals that he was on his way to taking the lift at his office, when he came across some aunties sitting and chatting. While talking to Bollywood Hungama, he elaborated, “I was just going to the lift and one of the aunties called me. They were around ten of them. When I came to them, they all looked at me and said, ‘We loved the film’. It was so weird that it came at the time when I was reading so many things about the film.” This surely must have left out man blushing!
