He was also a prolific screenwriter, associated with many memorable films. Saddened by his demise. Condolences to his family and admirers," the Prime Minister tweeted. "I am sorry to hear about the demise of noted actor Kader Khan Ji. I offer my deepest condolences to his family, friends and fans all around the world," Rahul Gandhi Gandhi said. "We will miss him," the Congress chief said in a Facebook post.

National Award Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar says, "He made us laugh and cry at the same time. He entertained us with his punchful dialogues. God bless his soul. RIP Sir".
