We often hear stories about fans going above and beyond to meet their favourite celebrities. On a lucky day, a fan might spot a celeb and manage to get a selfie. But otherwise getting a glimpse of your favourite celebrity is very difficult. Waiting for hours to meet a star just for minutes, this has been a common sight. But let’s be real, it is not always possible for the stars to reach out to every fan and meet them. That didn’t stop this ardent fan of South film actress Kajal Aggarwal from trying though. In an attempt to meet the actress, her fan ended up losing 60 lakh rupees to fraudsters.
A die-hard fan of Kajal Aggarwal found himself in trouble after he made payments to a website where he was promised he’d get an opportunity to meet the actress. According to DNA, the fan hailed from Ramanathapuran in Tamil Nadu and he first paid Rs 50,000 to the online fraudsters and also shared his personal details. Over a period of time, he paid a total of 60 lakhs in three installments but never got to meet the actress. The fan realized after months that the meeting wasn’t happening and that he had been cheated. He was under a lot of stress after losing such a huge amount and ran away to Kolkata and was found by the police. When he was questioned, he named a producer called Sravanakumar and the accused has now been arrested in the fraud case.
Kajal Aggarwal is among one of the most famous stars from the South. The Southern film star has made a name for herself in the Telugu and Tamil film industry and has a huge fan following. Just recently, the popular actress celebrated the completion of 10 years of her hit Telugu film Magadheera. Kajal had been roped in for Indian 2 but according to rumours she will no longer be a part of the film.
