Kajol Takes A DIG At Karan Johar’s Obsession With Star Kids, Amused Netizens Say, ‘That Was Personal’- Watch Video
Karan Johar and Kajol were seen getting into a fun banter about star-kids for an advertisement
Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has been dubbed as the flag-bearer of nepotism in the industry. He has launched many star kids in his movies and never shies away from admitting the same. He proudly roasts himself about his obsession with star-kids and it looks like his best friend Kajol too left no stone-unturned to remind him about the same.
The Brahmastra producer recently took to Instagram to share a video in partnership with Knorr, a soup brand, where Kajol and him can be seen having a fun little banter. For the unversed, the duo has not only collaborated for many movies, but has grown up together. Taking to Instagram and sharing the video, Karan wrote, “Nothing like bonding with one of my favourites, for some hot gossip and hot soup. The 2 things I find delicious!” ALSO READ: WHAT?! The video starts with Karan, dressed in pajama’s asking Kajol if she will have any soup, to which she chimes, “Will you be able to make it without star kids?” Karan then proceeds to remind her that she is a star kid too, which she brushes off. After drinking the soup, Kajol shares a cheeky advice. She tells him to “make movies like the soup too, without any star kids.”
For the unversed, the actress is the daughter of filmmaker Shomu Mukherjee and veteran actress Tanuja. Her aunt Nutan and grandmother Shobana Samarth were also actors.
The ad left the fans rolling in laughter. On the work front, while Kajol will be seen in Revathy directed Salaam Venky starring Vishal Jethwa, Karan Johar will be making his comeback as a director with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani. The movie will also star Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
