Kaminey Clocks 12 Years: Shahid Kapoor Says The Film Will Always Be Special; Shares 'It Allowed Me To Express Myself As An Actor'
Shahid Kapoor is one of the most talented actors that we have in the industry today. In his illustrious career spanning over more than a decade, the Kabir Singh actor has many blockbuster movies to his credit. Amongst them, that not just broke his boy next door image but also showed his versatility as an actor was Vishal Bhardwaj’s directorial Kaminey. Set against the backdrop of the Mumbai underworld, the movie saw Shahid in the role of an angry young man.

As Kaminey completes 12 years of its release, Shahid Kapoor took to his Instagram to celebrate the milestone. He shared a sketch of his character from the movie alongside an endearing note on his Instagram stories. Calling it a special movie, Shahid wrote, “12 years ago this film allowed me to express myself as an actor. Not a face…not a cute boy next door…not that done to death “I’m such a sweet guy good guy please like me” rubbish. My first double role. My first shot at a kamina no holds barred; A straight out performing part. This was when it all started. So this one will always be special #12yearsofKaminey.”
