Celebrities like Taapsee Pannu, Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl and others came under the radar of the income tax department in an alleged case of tax evasion. As per the reports, raids were conducted at the properties of those connected with Phantom Productions that got dissolved in 2018. Today, the Income Tax department shared an official statement about the same. Reportedly, the production house was not able to explain the discrepancy of around ₹300 crore. Now it is Kangana Ranaut who has commented on this matter.
The Manikarnika actress made a series of tweets talking about the money, and even the #MeToo allegations that were reportedly charged against some of the members of the Phantom Productions. Her first tweet read, "Every minute the numbers are rising, this is only the money they found clues for, one can only imagine what could be the actual numbers of money laundering,have been exposing terrorism racket of tukde gang in the under belly of Bullydawood, these are terrorists not just #TaxChor."
In the next tweet, she also spoke about talent management agency KWAN whose co-founder is Madhu Mantena. Taapse Pannu, Anurag Kashyap and others are yet to make any comments on the Income Tax Department's raids. Yesterday it was being reported that Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap were being questioned by the Income Tax Department officials in Pune.
