Since this morning, the Internet has been abuzz with reports and speculations of Kartik Aaryan being replaced in Dostana 2. SpotboyE reported that Kartik will likely be dropped from the film, and that the makers will be replacing him with some other actor in Dostana 2. A few hours ago, Dharma Productions issued a statement, confirming that they will be recasting Dostana 2. Their statement read, “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain a dignified silence- we will be recasting Dostana 2, directed by Collin D'Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon.” Now, Kangana Ranaut has reacted to this.

Kangana Ranaut, who had been quite vocal about the nepotism in Bollywood after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, took to her Twitter to slam Karan Johar and ‘nepo gang’ after Kartik Aaryan was dropped from Dostana 2. She tweeted, “Kartik has come this far on his own, on his own he will continue to do so, only request to papa jo and his nepo gang club is please leave him alone like Shushant don’t go after him and force him to hang himself. Leave him alone you vultures, get lost chindi nepos...”

In another tweet, she told Kartik not to be scared of ‘chillars’. “Kartik no need to be scared of these chillars.... after doing nasty articles and releasing announcements blaming only your attitude for fall out this moron wants to maintain dignified silence. They spread same stories of drug addiction and unprofessional behaviour for SSR also,” she wrote.


She further showed her support to Kartik Aaryan, and said that he need not feel lonely and targeted. She wrote that Kartik will do well in his career, and advised him to trust his instincts.
