Kangana Ranaut Recalls Sister Rangoli Chandel Suffering ACID ATTACK: ‘I Went Through Therapy Because I Feared Anyone Passing Me Might Throw Acid On Me’
Kangana Ranaut recalls her own struggle when her sister Rangoli Chandel’s half face was burnt due to an acid attack
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut recalled her own mental struggle after her sister Rangoli Chandel suffered acid attack years ago. For the unversed, Rangoli suffered a brutal acid attack at the hands of a roadside Romeo and underwent 53 surgeries to get back to normal. Kangana revealed as a family they were left devastated. The actress even mentioned she had gone through therapy because she feared anyone passing her might throw acid on her.
Ranaut shared her story while demanding justice for a 17-year-old girl who sustained eight percent burn injuries after two masked men on a bike threw acid on her. Taking to her Instagram stories, the Queen actress shared a note that read, “When I was a teenager my sister @rangoli r chandel was attacked with acid by a road side Romeo.... She had to go through 52 surgeries, unimaginable amount of mental and physical trauma.... We as a family were devastated .... She added, “These atrocities haven't stopped .... Government need to act very strongly against these crimes ....I do agree with @gautamgambhir55 we need to take very strict measures against acid attackers...”
Reportedly, three arrests have been made so far in the case. The video of two men on a bike throwing acid at a class 12 student has shocked the entire nation with people demanding strict action against the accused. For the unversed, Kangana’s sister Rangoli was 21 years- old when she suffered an acid attack. Half of her face was burnt and she lost one eye, her one ear melted away and her breast was badly damaged.
