Kangana Ranaut’s Team Criticises Karan Johar And Janhvi Kapoor’s Gunjan Saxena: ‘Nationalism Ki Dukaan Chalaani Hai, Par Desh Bhakti Nahi Dikhani Hai’
The latest release of Netflix from Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Gunjan Saxena has been the topic of hot debate in the last couple of days with the portrayal of the Indian Air Force and its officers. A few days ago, the Indian Air Force (IAF) wrote a letter to the Censor Board, in which they mentioned that in an attempt to glorify the screen character of Gunjan Saxena, Dharma Productions presented some situations which were misleading and portrayed an inappropriate work culture against women in the IAF.  The recent one to criticize Janhvi Kapoor starrer Gunjan Saxena, as well as Karan Johar, has been Team Kangana Ranaut, who took to Twitter and slammed KJo.

Kangana’s team criticized the film Gunjan Saxena and questioned how Gunjan’s character in the film said that she just wants to fly the plane, and the arc to show that she fell in love with the country was completely missed. The tweet read, “Also what is with reluctant desh bhakti, many times Gunjan says in the film’ I don’t love my nation I just want to fly the plane’there was no arc to show she fell in love with the country n how she understood the real meaning of uniform!! All she says,”papa won’t let you down.””

Further talking about the film and its portrayal of a soldier’s life, another tweet by team Kangana read, “All n all GS remains a petty film missing the larger picture and essence of a soldier’s life, proving her opponents right who said we are here to protect Bharat Mata but you are here for equal opportunity, that’s pretty much sums up the film in the end Gunjan wins not India.SAD !”


Further taking digs at Karan Johar, team Kangana wrote a poem for him, sarcastically slamming the filmmaker for not wanting to show patriotism.  “करण जोहर पे शायरी अर्ज़ है। हमें नैशनलिज़म की दुकान चलानी है मगर देश भक्ति नहीं दिखानी है।पाकिस्तान से वार वाली फ़िल्म बहुत पैसा कमाती है, हम भी बनायेंगे मगर उसका विलेन भी हिंदुस्तानी है।अब थर्ड जेंडर भी आर्मी में आ गया है मगर करण जोहर तू कब समझेगा एक सेनानी सिर्फ़ सेनानी है”, read the tweet.
