Kangana Ranaut who is essaying the title role in Zee Studios’ Manikarnika, is all set to play a hatke character in her next project. The Queen actress has reportedly been approached to essay a differently-abled person in R Balki’s upcoming film, as per reports in mid-day.
“Kangana will require a two-month-long prep to adapt to the body language of a differently-abled person. The actors are expected to sign the contracts next week and an official announcement will be made later this month,” a source informed mid-day.
“Kangana had already been roped in for the Arunima Sinha biopic. But the film
showed no signs of kick-starting. So when Balki offered her this project, she
was keen to come on board. The film revolves around a woman who is left
handicapped after a freak accident and eventually reclaims her life,” the
source added further.
Interestingly, the film will also star Amitabh Bachchan. This will be the first time the two actors will be sharing the screen space. They will begin shooting for this film after they wrap up their current projects – Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi and Thugs of Hindostan and 102 Not Out respectively.
However, neither Kangana nor Mr Bachchan have made any official statement about the project as of yet.
