Kangana’s BIG LIE: ‘Highest paid actress’ gets only Rs 3 crore

After the success of Tanu Weds Manu Returns, B-town went into a tizzy about how Kangana Ranaut charges a fee of Rs 11 crore. While the actress never denied the rumour and beamed proudly saying, “I think my fee is justified”, her kith and kin went into an overdrive crowning her the highest paid actress.
And that’s why this piece of news left us amused.
Believe it or not, Kangana is being paid only Rs 3 crore for Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
Correct us if we’re wrong, Kangana. But we did the simple math and 3 crore is not even one-third of what you claim to make per film.
After all, hasn’t our dear actress/her kith and kin even been tom-tomming about how she charges way more than her contemporaries? 
The only redeeming factor is that both the lead actors in Rangoon – Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor – are also charging the same amount. Saif has seen 5 back-to-back flops. Similarly, Shahid may have won acclaim for Haider but followed it with the disastrous Shaandaar. And both actors have maintained a dignified silence about their fees, unlike the feisty actress.
And we’re sure at Rs 3 crore per film, she is hardly the ‘highest paid actress.’ Sorry to burst your bubble, Kangana.
