After Hrithik Roshan moved his film Super 30’s release from Jan 26 to July 26, to avoid clashing with Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika, the actress has now postponed the release of Mental Hai Kya from June 21 to July 26, which means the two will clash at the box-office. Kangana’s Mental Hai Kya To Clash With Hrithik’s Super 30: Ekta Kapoor Clarifies 'It’s Purely A Business Decision'
It’s going to be Kangana Ranaut versus Hrithik Roshan at the box-office again. We would like to remind you that Hrithik’s Super 30 was earlier going to clash with Kangana’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi on January 26, but he decided to postpone its release to July 26. Now, Kangana’s Mental Hai Kya that was to hit the big screens on June 21 has been pushed ahead to July 26, so we will witness them fighting it out at the box-office.

Soon, rumours started floating around that Ms Ranaut did this on purpose, Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, who is the producer of her film, released an official statement condemning these reports and clarifying that it’s purely a business decision. Here’s the statement:

“To whomsoever it may concern,

A lot is being reported about Mental Hai Kya clashing with another film at the box office on July 26. The shift in the release date is a decision taken after the recommendations from the distributors, trade analysts and top research team, keeping in mind the releases a week before and after this date.

We have been advised to shift the release of our movie to July 26, purely for the business prospects.

On knowing, that there is already a movie scheduled for a release on that date, we did it all in our purview to ensure that there will be no mud-slinging and it will be dignified release. We stand by assuring that to all other parties.

This is a call taken by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures considering better prospects for the movie at the box office and no other parties were involved.

Balaji Telefilms condemn the reports being circulated and stand by that Mental Hai Kya releasing on 26th July is purely a business decision made by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms.”

We wonder if Hrithik will again postpone his film's release.
