Karan Johar Announces Hindi Remake Of Vijay Deverakonda’s Dear Comrade
Karan Johar will be producing the Hindi remake of Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Dear Comrade. The filmmaker made it official on his Twitter handle
Following the massive success of Arjun Reddy’s Hindi remake titled Kabir Singh; Vijay Devarakonda's yet another film is set for a remake in Bollywood. Yes. You read it right! Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Dear Comrade will soon be remade in Hindi. And it’s none other than filmmaker Karan Johar, who had also backed the mega blockbuster Baahubali 2 which was a humungous success at the box-office. Speaking of Dear Comrade, the movie's trailer created a stir as soon as it was out. Vijay plays a student leader, whereas Rashmika plays a cricketer in the film.
The filmmaker is yet to reveal or rather sign a lead pair for the film. KJo appreciated this intense love story and also showered praises on Vijay and Rashmika for their performances. He also mentioned in his tweet how the movie is exceptionally good and conveys an important message. Karan Johar took to his official Twitter handle to announce about his next. He tweeted, "Had the pleasure to be the first to see #dearcomrade ! What a powerful and intense love story !!! Top notch performances by @thedeverakonda and @rashmika_mandanna !! The film is exceptionally moving and leaves you with such an important and relevant message! Strongly directed by debut director @bharatkamma and wonderfully produced by @mythriofficial !! The film will hit the theatres on July 26, 2019 in four languages- Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu. During his media interaction, Vijay said, "This film is very close to my heart as I completely connect to the story and my role. I have seen the film and it has come out quite well. That is the reason I am promoting it so well and I am super confident that the film will be a bigger hit."
He further added, "Dear Comrade about the journey of two-character played by me and Rashmika. There is a superb emotion about the film which will stay with you once you come out of the theatre."
Dear Comrade is written and directed by Bharat Kamma and stars Jayaprakash, Sukanya, Brahmaji, Rao Ramesh and Shruti Ramachandran in prominent roles.
