Karan Johar Gives A Shout out To Casting Directors; Asks For A Second Chance In Acting To Play The Role Of A Father At 48
Karan Johar wants a second chance in acting after Bombay Velvet; says he is ready to play a father's role!
Karan Johar is known for multitasking. The man directs, owns a grand production house, is a reality show judge, can dance and also hosts a chat show every year. Well, there was a time when KJo had also tried his hands-on acting with Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. The outcome, however, isn't hidden from the world. The film didn't only fail to survive at the box-office, it was a huge dud reviews-wise as well. Umm, that was probably the last time we saw KJo acting on the silver screen. But, hey, it appears that he is asking for a second chance now.
Taking to his Instagram account, the My Name Is Khan filmmaker shared a selfie of him, flaunting her natural grey hair and that signature pout. It was, however, his caption that caught all our attention. While Karan Johar admitted that his acting debut was scarier than the Coronavirus pandemic, he asked all the directors for a second chance and said that he is available for a father's role. Well, all we can do is hope that someone considers KJo's request and gives him another chance to showcase his talent of acting.
"I know my acting stint was scarier than the current virus but there is no harm in hoping for a second chance! So to all enterprising casting directors, to all risk-taking filmmakers, to critics with a high threshold of pain and to easy to please audiences I have an announcement to make!!!! I AM AVAILABLE FOR FATHER ROLES! (at 48 with a poor track record I promise i can’t afford to be choosy)," read his caption.

It was first during his live Instagram chat with Varun Dhawan that Johar revealed his grey hair and ever since then, he's been sharing some of the other pictures of the same. We guess KJo has accepted the fact that he's ageing gracefully!
