Karan Johar Reveals He Started CRYING After He Learned About Alia Bhatt’s Pregnancy; ‘It Was A Very Emotional Moment For Me’
In a recent interview, Karan Johar reveals how he reacted after learning that his ‘baby’ Alia Bhatt is expecting her first child!
Last month, Alia Bhatt left everyone surprised after she announced she is expecting her first child. On 27th June, the actress posted a photo of her from the hospital with her husband Ranbir Kapoor sitting next to her as they watched an ultrasound scan. Alia captioned this sweet Instagram post, “our baby coming soon.” Now, in a recent interview, Alia’s mentor Karan Johar has revealed how he reacted after he learned about his ‘baby’s pregnancy. The filmmaker stated that he got very emotional and started crying.
Speaking with ETimes TV, KJo said it was a very emotional moment for him and is still. Karan was quoted as saying, “I was like I can't believe you are having a baby. It was like your baby is having a baby. It was a very emotional moment for me, it still is! I've seen her from a girl transforming into an outstanding artiste, into this wonderful self-assured woman.” The filmmaker went on to add that he ‘felt a sense of pride’ as Alia for him is his first-born. The actress walked into his office when she was 17-year-old. Karan Johar also showered heaps of praise on the actress as he talked about Alia’s transformation from a teenage girl to a self-assured woman now. He also mentioned that he is beyond excited to hold her child in his arms. "It will be a very emotional moment, as close to when I held my own children,” KJo added. Notably, Alia made her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar's teen film ‘Student of the Year’ and shot to fame with her brilliant stint in the movie. Post this, the actress was unstoppable and went on to deliver many hits.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar is currently busy promoting his upcoming chat show ‘Koffee with Karan 7’, which will stream tomorrow, 7th July on Disney Plus Hotstar.
