Karan Johar TROLLED For Urging Delhi Govt To Allow Cinemas To Operate; 'Angry' Netizen Says, ‘Why Don’t You Take Your Kids, Family Everyday To Cinemas’
Filmmaker Karan Johar took to his social media handles to urge the Delhi government to allow cinemas to operate in the national capital. While tagging Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi's Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, KJo mentioned that cinemas are "equipped with better ability to ensure a hygienic environment" followed by a hashtag 'cinemas are safe.’ His post comes after the Delhi govt on Tuesday announced that cinema halls would remain closed due to rising COVID-19 cases in the capital.

However, Karan’s tweet did not go down well with some netizens who badly trolled him for being so insensitive and for putting the lives of Delhiites at high risk. Taking to his Twitter handle, the filmmaker tweeted, “We urge the Delhi Government to allow cinemas to operate. Cinemas are equipped with better ability to ensure a hygienic environment while maintaining social distancing norms as compared to other out-of-home settings. @LtGovDelhi @ArvindKejriwal @OfficeOfDyCM #cinemasaresafe.”

As soon as he shared this tweet, in no time Twitterati started trolling Karan Johar. One user shared his tweet and wrote, “This illogical person has 0% capability of releasing his nonsense movies on OTT. Coz he is pretty sure that nobody would spare one's internet for it. So trying his level best to make it into theatre. @karanjohar.” Another said, “Are you serious while passing this statement?? Why don’t you take your kids and family everyday to cinemas. Are you only worried about your movies not about nations safety. Kuch Acha nhi bol paate aap toh bekaar toh mat bolo.” Another wrote, "Aag lgi hai basti mai.. ye hai Apni masti mai."
