Kareena Kapoor Khan Is ‘70 Percent Mother And 30 Percent Actor’; Reveals How She Prioritizes Her Kids Taimur And Jeh Over Her Work Commitments
Kareena Kapoor Khan, in a recent interview, spoke about being a hands-on mother and if the attention her kids receive from the media makes her feel uncomfortable
Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan leads a very open life. From her media interactions to social media posts, she never shies away from expressing how she lives her life, so much so that even her kids Taimur and Jeh have their own separate fan bases. Now-a-days many celebrity couples request their fans and the media to maintain privacy when it comes to clicking their children, however, Kareena has often spoken about how she doesn’t mind it.
During her interview, Kareena opened up about how she doesn’t mind her kids growing up under the constant media glare. She spoke about how she and Saif Ali Khan never never really hid their kids from the media, who are constantly photographed. She believes that if she gives respect to the paparazzi for doing their job, she will get the same respect in return. Quoted by Hindustan Times, she added, “I can’t ask for it, or beg for it. But if I am going to be equal with everybody around me, they will respect our privacy. The 42-year-old actress went on to reveal that she follows the same while posting her family pictures on social media. She gives respect to her fans by letting them see a glimpse of her life, making them feel involved in her life. Which is why according to her, her fans are still so involved. She further explained how she has prioritized being a mother over being an actress. Ever since deciding to embrace motherhood, she has been limiting her work. The media publication quoted her saying, “I am very hands on, I like to do everything, I am a 24/7 mom. That’s what I have been most of my life, then an actor. I would say I am 70 percent a mother now, 30 percent actor. I do have to follow and do things I love doing as well, like spread awareness about topics such as inculcating reading habits in children.”
For the unversed, Saif and Kareena, the couple tied the knot in 2012 and welcomed two adorable sons Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan. Apart from them, Saif has a daughter Sara Ali Khan and son Ibrahim Ali Khan from his first marriage with actress Amrita Singh.
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha alongside Aamir Khan has movies like The Crew, Hansal Mehta's next, Sujoy Ghosh’s untitled movie based on the Japanese bestseller The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino in the pipeline.
