Ameesha Patel who is basking on to the success of Gadar 2 made her Bollywood debut with Rakesh Roshan's Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai with Hrithik Roshan and the film lives rent free in the mind of every 90s kid. Interestingly, the actress made a shocking revelation about Kareena Kapoor who was actually the first choice of the movie. However, media reports back then stated that the Bollywood diva opted out of the project but Ameesha reveals that the 3 Idiots actress was actually told to leave the project by director Rakesh Roshan. In a chat with Bollywood Bubble, Ameesha Patel revealed that Rakesh Roshan had informed her about his decision to replace Kareena Kapoor Khan in a film due to creative differences. She went on to discuss the surprising nature of this decision, highlighting that the film's set was already prepared when Kareena was asked to step down. Speaking about this the 47-year old says, "Kareena didn't voluntarily withdraw from the project. According to Mr. Rakesh Roshan, he made the decision to remove her from the film due to disagreements in their creative vision. Interestingly, Pinky Aunty, Rakesh uncle's wife and Hrithik's mother, expressed her shock at the turn of events." Bhool Bhulaiyaa actress recalls how the set was ready and the makers had to find the film's leading lady in just three days. She shares everyone was super stressed as Crores of rupees went on that set and it was Hrithik’s debut after all. Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai was an overnight success that introduced Ameesha Patel and Hrithik Roshan in Bollywood. On the other hand, Kareena went on to do Refugee which was her debut film with Abhishek Bachchan. The film was a flop at the box office.
