A Reddit user shared a picture of Riva and she was seen posing with an elderly man. The young actress looks completely unrecognizable as Riva was dressed in a brown-hued body-hugging top which she paired with a white printed skirt.

The young actress is often accused of taking synthetic growth hormones to look older, leading to a controversy around her age. Shortly after Riva’s picture surfaced online, netizens took a dig at her as some people pointed out that they couldn't recognise the actress, and others slammed her mother for sexualising her at the age of 13.

In a previous interview with Indian Express, Riva talked about the negativity that she receives on social media and revealed how she has been dealing with the trenchant criticism of late.

For the unversed, netizens were upset with a music video where Riva was seen romancing Karan Kundrra while it was claimed that she was only 12 years old. Talking about her real age, she said that she's not 12 and her age would be revealed soon. She said, “Well, I never focus on such criticism, I always believe that if there’s negativity, there’s also a positive side. I choose to look at the brighter side. The love that I get today has overpowered everything. My actual age will be revealed soon. But all I can say is that I am not 12.”
