Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar finally seem to have buried the hatched following their fiasco. The duo recently graced the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne and a new video from the event has been doing the rounds on the internet. KJo, who was seen giving a speech, was all praises for Kartik Aaryan and his films. The iconic filmmaker even wished 'more power to him.' 

In a new viral video, Karan Johar was seen talking about Kartik Aaryan, who was present at the panel. Karan started by joking about him getting married by the end of the festival, referring to a fan who proposed to him after the screening of his film Satyaprem Ki Katha at the festival. Karan then added, "Kartik's films have deeply resonated with the country and has always brought in so much fervour back to the cinema halls. More power to him. May his contribution to cinema always continue. Well done, Kartik."


KJo’s comments left everyone salivating and people are wondering who might be the lucky one. 

Moreover, Kartik Aaryan is indeed one of the most eligible bachelors in Bollywood, and fans have been eagerly waiting for the developments around his wedding!

Fans were surprised to see the two pose together and how effortlessly they are bonding. Several rumours suggested that the filmmaker was fuming over how Kartik Aaryan kept Dostana 2 in limbo. Later, the movie got shelved! 

Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor had done a schedule in Punjab as well. It was reported that Karan Johar faced losses up to Rs 20 crores for Dostana 2, reported Bollywood Life. 


Earlier in 2021, there were reports of a fallout between the two after Kartik opted out of Dostana 2.

During the screening of Satyaprem Ki Katha in Melbourne, a female fan told Kartik, "I know I'll never get a chance to ask you this question ever again but... will you marry me?" The entire scene brought a smile on Kartik’s face and left him speechless for a few seconds. The fan eventually asks Kartik for a hug and the actor agrees immediately. The actor shared the incident on his Instagram page with the caption: "Aur yaha meri bolti band ho gayi, Mummy se pooch ke batata hu (Here, I was left speechless. I will ask my mother and tell you.)."
