Katrina Meets Ranbir's Best Friend Ayan, Ranbir Wasn't Around

Ever since Katrina and Ranbir parted ways, there have been rumours of how the couple's friends have chosen sides and most of them have been with Ranbir, isolating Katrina.

Katrina had become close friends with Ayan Mukerji and Aarti Shetty while she dated Ranbir. But as they had always been Ranbir's besties, they chose to stick around with him after the acrimonious split.

However almost after 6 months, Ayan met Katrina at Karan Johar's apartment last night for an impromptu party. Also present at the bash were Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt, Kiran Rao and Akash, Anant and Isha Ambani.

Ayan was minus his best pal Ranbir, but instead had Katrina for company. "They spent a lot of time chit-chatting with each other in one corner. It looked like they had lots to catch up on," an eyewitness told SpotboyE.com.
Ayan's next Dragon, produced by Karan Johar and starring Ranbir and Alia goes on floors in January. It was supposed to start in November according to the original plan but has been slightly delayed.
Meanwhile, Katrina is biting her nails over her upcoming film Baar Baar Dekho co-starring Sidharth Malhotra, directed by Nitya Mehra and produced by Karan Johar. She herself confessed this to us in an exclusive interview (Sidharth Malhotra: Katrina Kaif got lost in my eyes, Aug 27).
Katrina recently returned from the US where she was one of the many stars who were a part the Dream Team concert.
