Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 11: Gear Up For Amitabh Bachchan's Game Show As It Premieres Tonight
Makers have introduced lots of new aspects in season 11, from new themes to new technologies to changes in lifelines, read on to know more.
Amitabh Bachchan will be reprising his role of host in the latest season of the India’s most popular game show. Audiences are eagerly waiting for the new season as its set for the grand premiere tonight on Sony TV. This new season has a theme of celebrating common man’s grit and determination. Coming to the new elements; keeping pace with technology, a robo cam has been introduced. Given the nickname of ‘buggy camera’, the operated machine goes around the set to capture dramatic shots of host Amitabh Bachchan, contestants and the live audience.
The makers have also let go of the call/video a friend lifeline. Instead, they have got the ‘flip’ option back. Before the start of the game, contestants would be given around 10 subjects to choose from. He/she can pick one as per their interest and then during the game, if they want to flip the question, the changed question would be from their chosen subject. The other lifelines, 50:50, ask the expert and audience poll, have been retained.
Launched nineteen years back, Kaun Banega Crorepati still runs as the most popular game show in the country with growing TRPs whenever aired. Season 11 is all set to roll tonight with lots of new additions. One similarity between the last and this new season is that it will again be a short season of only 13 weeks which comes to 65 episodes. While the first four days of the week, registered contestants will participate; every Friday will be dedicated to Karamweer episodes wherein ‘Real Life Heroes’ will sit on the hot seat across Amitabh Bachchan and participate in the game for a noble cause.
As far as contestants are concerned in this season they have been selected through even more authentic and stringent process. There were multiple tough levels contestants have gone through and the questions will be even tougher in the game. This time the game has been given a more pace so that more and more questions can be asked in one episode. Play along options for the audiences sitting at home has been continued in this season as well. Audience will have to answer the same question as shown on TV but on SONY LIV App in a given time frame.
At the end of every episode lucky winners get variety of prizes, cash prices and gift vouchers. Also lucky contestants will be given a chance to play during finale week. And one lucky winner will stand a chance to win a new car.
Starting August 19, Kaun Banega Crorepati 11 will air Monday-Friday at 9 pm on Sony TV.
