Kirti Kulhari: ‘If The Price For Being Yourself Is For People To Misunderstand You, So Be It’- EXCLUSIVE
Kirti Kulhari has been a part of many stories and projects where women have been at the forefront. In these projects, the women are shown as someone who knows what they want and they are fine asking for it.

Recently, she was seen as one such character, Sasha in Shaadisthan and usually such women, who exude confidence and know how to call a spade what it is, are considered rude or arrogant.  ALSO READ: Shaadisthan Actress Kirti Kulhari: Sasha Represents Everything I Want To Be-EXCLUSIVE

The actress is very much like her strong characters in real life too and is known to be blunt and straightforward with what she says. Ask her if anyone has ever called her rude or arrogant in real life, and pat comes the reply, “I am okay with people thinking of me as rude and arrogant as it comes with the deal. There was a time when it would really bother me when people misunderstood me. I would try really hard to make them feel comfortable and be nice to them. This was my way to tell them that I wasn’t rude or arrogant. But now I am like, let it be as it doesn’t matter.”  ALSO READ: Kirti Kulhari: 'I Don't Think I Will Marry Again'- EXCLUSIVE

After spending years pleasing people, Kirti has realised that there is no solution to this. “I have understood that no matter how hard you try, there will be very few people who really understand you. What matters the most is for you to understand yourself and I am in that space where I get myself. If apart from me, no one else gets me, I am okay with that too. If the price for being yourself is for people to misunderstand you, so be it,” she concludes.
