Self-proclaimed film critic Kamaal Rashid Khan, popularly known as KRK, has been making it to the headlines and obviously for the wrong reasons. He was arrested by the Mumbai police over his ‘derogatory’ tweet against late actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan in 2020. Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha extended his support to KRK and demanded justice for the film critic. Now, days after being granted bail, he has thanked the senior actor.

KRK took to his official Twitter handle to thank him and wrote, “He wrote, “Thank you very much @ShatruganSinha Ji for your support. Love you.” 

Meanwhile, the ‘Vishwanath’ actor also shared a few Tweets in KRK’s favor. He called him ‘self-made man’ in his Tweets. Sinha wrote, “One should not forget that Kamal Rashid Khan @kamaalrkhan & one should always remember that despite great opposition & struggle the 'KRK' is a self made man, he has the blessings of the Almighty. He has made his place in the film industry, as well as society.” 




In a follow-up tweet, Shatrughan Singh added, “His biggest asset has been his confidence, he seems to speak without any fear or favour. He doesn’t shudder to speak his mind against all odds as he has the conviction & freedom of opinion/speech of any kind, within the framework of law/constitution, even if not accepted. He seems to be a victim of conspiracy of circumstances. God Bless him! Hope, wish & pray that Kamal Rashid Khan gets justice which he deserves soon, sooner the better. Jai Hind!”

For the unversed, Khan was sent to 14-day judicial custody after his arrest over derogatory tweets on the late actors - Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan. He was detained by Malad Police on August 30, 2022. The FIR was lodged on the basis of a complaint by Yuva Sena leader Rahul Kanal on April 30, 2020. 

He was again arrested by Versova Police on September 04, 2022, for allegedly ‘demanding sexual favors from an actress. In her complaint, the actress and model claimed that KRK tried to have sex with her when she visited his residence in 2019. the actress filed an FIR against him at Versova police station in 2021.
