Laal Singh Chaddha: Aamir Khan Likely To Meet The Original Forrest Gump Aka Tom Hanks
Aamir Khan is a perfectionist and he can go to any length to get his character right. Looks like he is leaving no stone unturned for his next, Laal Singh Chaddha. He might even meet Hollywood star Tom Hanks who was the lead in the original film
If it is coming from Aamir Khan, the film has to be good. He isn't called Perfectionist for no reason. Aamir Khan is currently working on his next film Laal Singh Chaddha which is the Hindi adaptation of Hollywood film Forrest Gump. While he is doing everything he can to get his look right, he may even go and meet Hollywood star Tom Hanks to get into the skin of the character. Tom played the lead role in Forrest Gump.
If reports are anything to go by then the production company of Laal Singh Chaddha, Viacom 18, is trying to arrange a meeting between Aamir Khan and Tom Hanks. This so that the remake happens in full knowledge and support of the Hollywood star. A source has informed Bollywood Hungama, "Viacom 18 is looking at arranging the meeting between Tom Hanks and Aamir Khan as a warm-up to the remake." No official confirmation has been made as of yet but we are eagerly waiting to see pictures of Tom and Aamir together.
Forrest Gump was produced by Paramount Pictures and Viacom 18 is an affiliate of the Hollywood production house. Forrest Gump was a story about a man with low IQ who goes on to achieve big in his life. Everything comes as a surprise to him but his innocence wins over everyone.
Aamir Khan in Laal Singh Chaddha will be seen as a Sikh and he is putting in a lot of effort to get the feel right of the film. Reportedly, Aamir has even lost 20 kilos to look his younger self in the film. Kareena Kapoor Khan will be seen as his love interest in the film.
