Late Actor Sushant Singh Rajput's Flatmate Siddharth Pithani Applies For Bail In Drug Case, Confirms His Lawyer Taraq Sayyed
Siddharth Pithani who was arrested earlier this year, was denied bail several times, will be now applying for bail this week
Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's friend and work associate Siddharth Pithani, was arrested earlier this year in May by Narcotics Control Bureau. As per reports, he was arrested by the investigative agency that came across some details from his phone and WhatsApp chats that hinted at his connection with the drug dealers. Now as reported in ETimes, Siddharth Pithani’s lawyer has applied for his bail. His lawyer Taraq Sayyed told the portal, “We will be applying for bail after the charge sheet is filed and it could be this week.”
After his arrest earlier this year, though Pithani tried for his bail for a few instances, he was not granted bail. In fact, Siddharth on special permission from the court was allowed to step out for his wedding in July 2021 held in Hyderabad. The late actor’s aide later surrendered himself the following day after his wedding. Siddharth Pithani came under the scanner of Mumbai Police, Bihar police, CBI and NCB, as he was the first person to witness the MS Dhoni actor hanging in his bedroom in Bandra on June 14, 2020.
For the unversed, Pithani who worked in a graphic design agency arrived in Mumbai following SSR’s friend Ayush Sharma’s call. Siddharth was employed for Sushant Singh Rajput's ‘Dream 150’ project. However, he quit the job after Ayush left SSR’s project and took up a job in Ahmedabad. But rejoined SSR in January 2020 when the late actor promised him that he shall pay him the salary.
