The probe into the death of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput is still underway. The federal agencies have not yet come to any conclusions as the case is in smoke and mirrors. It was reported that Rajput’s friend and flatmate Siddharth Pithani was arrested on May 26 by Narcotics Control Bureau for his connection with the drug case that the NCB is probing in the aftermath of SSR's death that happened on June 14, 2020. Now, the latest report suggests that Siddharth Pithani has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody as NCB wants to re-examine his case, as reported by the news agency, ANI.
As per the reports, Siddharth has been long absconding; however, NCB found information about his whereabouts and tracked him down. He was arrested in Hyderabad. Reportedly, SSR’s flatmate was remanded to the custody of the NCB till June 1, which got extended till June 4. Now he will be sent to judicial custody. According to ETimes, zonal director of NCB, Sameer Wankhede told the publication that ‘the investigation is at a very crucial stage and therefore they are not at the liberty to reveal anything,’ adding that ‘they are examining all the other housemates of the actor very closely in the drug case.’
Ahead of Sushant Singh’s first death anniversary, apart from Pithani, it is also said that the Dil Bechara actor’s house helps Neeraj, his cook Keshav and his bodyguard have also been summoned for another round of interrogation by the NCB.
Meanwhile, it is going to be a year since Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise. His sister has already gone on a solidarity retreat in the mountains for this month while his ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande has taken a break from social media.
