Late Sushant Singh Rajput's sister Priyanka Singh responded to a fan asking for an update in his case
Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020. A prolific actor gone too soon, Sushant Singh Rajput was reportedly found dead in his apartment in Bandra. Post the demise of the actor, his family filed an FIR against his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty reportedly accusing her of abetment to suicide and more. Soon a CBI inquiry was launched and the investigating body is yet to share an update on the same. Now, SSR's sister Priyanka Singh has responded to a fan asking for an update.
A fan of Sushant Singh Rajput tweeted, "Ma'am one humble request, why don't your family lawyer asks CBI for an update." To this, Priyanka Singh replied, "We are on it every second,believe me if you can". Apart from the CBI, investigating agencies like the Narcotics Control Bureau and Enforcement Directorate are also looking into Sushant Singh Rajput's death case.
Rhea Chaktaborty and her brother were also arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in the case. The actress was granted bail reportedly after spending a month in jail. She later filed a case against Sushant Singh Rajput's sisters Meetu Singh and Priyanka Singh. She alleged that SSR's sister Priyanka Singh acquired bogus prescription for illegally administered medicines to SSR. As per an update, the case against Meetu Singh was quashed by the High Court whereas investigation against Priyanka Singh will continue.
Rhea's lawyer Maneshinde had then said in a statement, "Petition filed by Priyanka Singh seeking quashing of FIR filed by Rhea Chakraborty for offences of forgery and violating NDPS Act by getting bogus prescription for illegally administered medicines to SSR dismissed by Justice Shinde and Justice Karnik , Bombay High Court. We are satisfied with the verdict. It appears ultimately Rhea Chakraborty's cry for justice and truth has prevailed. Satya Meva Jayate."
