Laxmii: Akshay Kumar Unveils New Poster After Title Change; Announces Release Date Of The Film
After Hindu Sena demanded the change of Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani’s starrer’s title, the makers announced the new title of the film. The horror-comedy Laxmmi Bomb is now titled as Laxmii. Now after the title change, a new poster of the film has been unveiled by the makers and it is as exciting as it gets. Laxmmi Bomb now Laxmii landed in controversy after Hindu Sena wrote a letter to Prakash Javadekar, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting demanding the title to be changed. In their letter, Hindu Sena called the film "derogatory" and "offensive”.

A while back, Akshay and Kiara shared the new poster with new title on social media. Kiara Advani captioned the new poster, “Woh sahi kehte hai - Live life, Queen size! Aa rahi hai #Laxmii 9th November ko,” while Akki wrote, “Ab harr ghar mein aayegi #Laxmii! Ghar waalon ke saath taiyaar rehna 9th November ko!” The colourful poster sees Kiara Advani gazing straight into the camera, while Akshay Kumar hides behind her.

Hindu Sena’s letter read, “If our demand is not fulfilled, all my Hindu Sainiks shall protest against this movie outside every Cinema hall where this movie may be screened across the nation. I request everyone belonging to the Hindu community to boycott the movie if the movie title is not changed before the release. The name of the movie is highly derogatory and offensive in nature, the name of Hindu Goddess Laxmi, the goddess of fortune and wealth has been used in the movie title along with the word Bomb which is unacceptable to the Hindu community. In the said name of the movie, Bomb word has been used to provoke the Hindu community.”
