Leggy lass Sonal Chauhan grabs what svelte Chitrangada did not
Remember SpotboyE.com telling you about Chitrangada Singh doing the disappearing act, after being told that her hero in an upcoming Bollywood movie will be Arbaaz Khan? There is some development happening on that front. SpotboyE.com has it that the film -- Kalpanik -- will now star Sonal Chauhan opposite Arbaaz.
The Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi actress was approached by Samir Ingle (financer of Tanu Weds Manu) for his debut production Kalpanik (Has Chitrangada Singh burnt bridges with Salman Khan?, May 4). The film's writer Amit Khan had met Chitrangada Singh with the offer, which will be helmed by debutante Rajesh Nair. Chitrangada was extremely excited about the film and gave her nod to it- but with a suggestion that Randeep Hooda should be roped in as the male lead because he is a terrific actor. However, Nair roped in Arbaaz Khan- and buzz was, Chitrangada was no more inclined to do it.
The latest on Kalpanik is that Sonal Chauhan will play the lead opposite Arbaaz.
We hear, Sonal is aware that Chitrangada had said 'No' to the film. A source says, "Sonal loved her part and did not take long to say 'yes'."
