Over the years, Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has often come under scrutiny of the audience for his shocking statements. He recently made a rare media appearance, when he attended the screening of Alia Bhatt’s upcoming movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He was seen leaving after the screening with his wife Soni Razdan, when the shutterbags tried to inquire about his oldest daughter Pooja Bhatt. However his answer left the netizens shocked.

In a video uploaded on Instagram by the entertainment portal Pinkvilla, the paparazzi can be heard heaping praises on his eldest daughter and her game in Bigg Boss OTT 2. When asked to comment on her first marriage, which ended in a divorce, he ignored the question. He went on to state that he is currently a fan of his daughter Alia, which made everyone around him laugh. For the unversed, Pooja is Mahesh's eldest daughter from his first marriage with Kiran Bhatt. They also have a son Rahul Bhatt. The filmmaker went on to marry Soni Razdan, after he separated from his first wife. They have two daughters Shaheen Bhatt and Alia Bhatt.
