It’s not very often that we see celebrities smoking in real life. They are not open to getting clicked while smoking. People look up to celebs and are obsessed with their healthy habits so it is mildly surprising to see them smoke. While many try to quit the habit, some of them find it difficult to kick it. And even though most of them try and avoid the lens, some of them still can’t avoid it. Priyanka Chopra, Mahira Khan, Sumona Chakravarti, Konkona Sen Sharma, Dimple Kapadia- here are pictures of some actresses who have been clicked smoking in real life.


Priyanka Chopra: One of the most controversial clicks in the recent history has been of Priyanka clicked smoking a cigar on a vacation along with her mother Madhu Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas. The picture created a lot of furore as people on social media reminded Priyanka about her ‘asthma’, which she had said she was suffering from and the video in which she urged people to not burst crackers on Diwali. Netizens also dug out her old tweet from 2010 in which she wrote, “Smoking is awful!!! Yuck!!!"


Mahira Khan: The Pakistani actress who featured opposite King Khan in Raees was clicked smoking with Ranbir Kapoor on the streets of New York. At that time, the picture became viral on social media which led to a controversy. Mahira had said in an interview on BBC World News that it was the first time in her career that she had been caught up in controversy and  she said, “One, obviously you feel violated, you are in a personal downtime moment and someone has just photographed you."

Sumona Chakravarti: The actress was a chain smoker until one day she decided to quit. She had written on social media saying “2 Years Ago! the week following a dear friend's bday... I QUIT. Simply went cold turkey. No nicotine patch, no vape. Nothing. Haven't touched since then. Was it difficult, hell yeah. But now my body rejects smoke. Can't stand in a room where ppl are smoking anymore."

Konkona Sen Sharma: It was widely known that Konkona Sen Sharma was a chain smoker once, but the acclaimed actress/director has since quit and does not intend to go back to her ways.

Dimple Kapadia: The veteran actress has been known to smoke from her younger days and a video of her smoking as she sits next to Sunny Deol went viral a few years ago.
