Maidaan: Makers Of Ajay Devgn Starrer Say There Is ‘No Conversation’ About Pay Per View Release; Issue Official Statement, ‘Our Focus, At Present, Is To Complete The Film’
Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan’s makers issued an official statement on Thursday stating there is ‘no conversation’ about pay per view release. The statement was on behalf of film Maidaan’s producers- Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy. The release mentioned details about the release of the film. The makers said their focus, at present, is to complete the film keeping everyone’s safety in mind. Earlier, it was reported that the sets of the film were damaged due to Cyclone Tauktae.

The statement issued on behalf of Maidaan producers- Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta reads: “We would like to share that there is currently no conversation with any streaming platform for pay per view release of the film ‘Maidaan’. Our focus, at present, is to complete the film keeping everyone’s safety in mind and in full compliance of Protocols laid down by the Government.” The makers added, “We request you to please reach out to us regarding any news about Maidaan.”

The film Maidaan is directed by Amit Sharma and stars Ajay Devgn as Syed Abdul Rahim in a lead role. The movie is based on the golden era of Indian football. Maidaan also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, Rudranil Ghosh, and Nitanshi Goel. According to reports in a section of the media, Maidaan sets, situated on the outskirts of Mumbai were damaged by Cyclone Tauktae. The report stated there were no casualties.


The shooting of the film Maidaan commenced on August 19, 2019. Earlier, the film is scheduled for a release on October 15, 2021.
