Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor often face sharp online criticism over their huge age gap. Be it their mushy photos or stylish appearances, the couple often comes under the radar of nasty trolls for one reason or the other. Last year in November, Malaika sparked her pregnancy rumours with reports claiming that the couple allegedly announced their pregnancy to close ones. Now, the Ishaqzaade star in a recent interview has addressed Malaika’s pregnancy rumours.
Speaking with Bollywood Bubble, Arjun stated that negativity is easier to do. “I think it gets people to pay attention because that’s been building for a while. Listen, we are actors, our personal life is not always very private. There is a certain amount that exists and you have to be okay with it already joining the profession,” the actor was quoted as saying. The 37-year-old actor added, “There might be that element that remains but I think we rely on you all to reach the audience. We need you all to be at least cognizant of the fact that we are human beings. So, check with us once in a while if you’re going to write something that is very very important. At least do that much and I think that was all that I did. It was more about that it should be checked; it should not be assumed. You should not put something that can be life-altering out there.”
Malaika and Arjun made their relationship official in 2019 on the occasion of the actor’s birthday via an Instagram post. The duo is dating for more than four years and is getting stronger in their relationship. The dancer-actor was married to Arbaaz Khan but they parted ways after 19 years of marriage in 2017. The estranged couple has a teenage son, Arhaan, and is co-parenting him.
