Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat has been beaten and robbed by three masked intruders outside her Paris apartment block.
The robbery, in which the 40-year-old Indian actress and her boyfriend Cyrille Auxenfans were attacked with tear gas and punched, has sent shockwaves in the industry. The alleged assault took place on November 12.
According to Le Parisien, the French capital's daily newspaper, the criminals wore scarves across their faces and "without saying a word, sprayed their victims with tear gas before punching them. They then fled, leaving a shocked Ms Sherawat and her friend to call the emergency services."

A criminal investigation has been launched, while some detectives are also working round the clock to achieve a breakthrough in this shocking incident.
The attack comes only few weeks after Kim Kardashian was robbed in the same city. A gang of five robbers escaped with millions of pounds worth of jewels on October 3 (Kim Kardashian Survives Burglary After Being Held At Gunpoint, Oct 3).
